The son of James and Brandi Adkins, Landon was a starter and team captain for the Warriors. He also served as a camp counselor at Camp Green Leaves. Coached by Jeff Snuffer, he plans to attend North Carolina Wesleyan and is considering a career as a coach, athletic trainer, or personal trainer.

EASTERN ALAMANCE HIGH SCHOOL
The son of James and Jessica Ball, Jason was a starter and team captain earning all-conference honors. He was a member of the National Honor Society and worked as a volunteer with youth sports programs. Coached by John Kirby, he plans to attend East Carolina University. Jason is currently uncertain about his career plans.

The son of Marcus and Alyssha Allison, Carrington was a starter, team captain, and all-conference selection for the Red Raiders. Coached by Mitchell Jenkins, he plans to attend North Carolina Wesleyan. He is undecided about his career plans.

The son of Kenell Caesar and Chalmagne Green, Emmanuel was a starter and team captain. He is an A/B honor roll student and volunteered with the Foundation of Man. Coached by Derrick Sharpe, he plans to attend Greensboro College and hopes for a career in physical therapy.

RICH BRENNER AWARD WINNER
The son of Steven and Crystal Clapp, Brandon was a starter for the Wildcats. An “A” honor roll student, he was a Junior Marshal, member of the National Honor Society, and was active in the Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He collected more than 200 hours of community service hours participating in a variety of community service activities, including a church trunk of treats, a community AG Day, and helping senior citizens with chores. Coached by Tim Bagamary, Brandon plans to attend NC State University and is considering a career as an agricultural engineer, a meat processor, or agricultural sales.

The son of Corliss McCoy, Arick was a starter and team captain. He Is described as a young man that has overcome many obstacles during his high school career. Coached by Anthony Timmons, he plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and hopes for a career in health science or sports medicine.

The son of Michelle Poteat, Kavon was a starter, team captain, all-conference and all-county selection. He has been active in the FCA and Key Club where he served as president. His community service includes Angel Tree and Random Acts of Kindness. He is also very active in church. Coached by David Grimm, Kavon has narrowed his college choices to Virginia State, Wesleyan, and Methodist University and hopes to be an entrepreneur.

The son of Eric and Kim Flemming, Nolan was a starter, team captain, and all-conference selection. An A/B honor roll student, he was a Beta Club member and involved in several community service projects. Coached by Ryan Rocha, Nolan plans to attend Hampden-Sydney College and is considering a career in business.

The son of Lewis and Mary Green, Lewis was a starter, team captain, team MVP and was an all-conference selection. He was a Viking Ambassador and gives back to the City of Winston-Salem by volunteering his time with the African America Men Pursuing Educational Dreams. Coached by Bernard Williams, Lewis plans to attend Catawba and study computer science.

The son of Tica Green, Trey was a starter and team captain for the Panthers. A member of the National Honor Society and valedictorian, he collected over 200 hours of community service volunteering with a variety of groups including the Special Olympics, Anytown, and Urban Ministry. Coached by Steven Davis, Trey college choices include UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Charlotte, and Hampton University. He is planning for a career as a physician’s assistant, physical therapist, or a physiatrist.

The son of Taalib-Din Grier, Sr., Taalib-Din was a starter and team captain for the Yellowjackets. An honor roll student and scholar athlete, he was active in the debate team and student government association. Coached by Leon Moore, Taalib-Din is considering UNC Greensboro, Gardner Webb or Averett College to further his education and would like a career in executive protection or as a firefighter.

The son of Leondas Hampton and Jay Megree, Khalid was a starter, team captain, and all-conference selection. He was a member of the National Honor Society and active in the chess club and Brother 2 Brother. He participated in community service projects through the National Honor Society. Coached by Tripp Honeycutt, Khalid plans to attend Methodist University and hopes to work in the IT field.

The son of Demond and Shentalla Harper, Jason was a starter and player of the week. He was active in the chess club, played drums in the band, and was involved in several community service activities. Coached by Garret Mills, Jason plans to attend Fayetteville State University and is considering a career in visual arts or graphic design.

The son of Timothy and Rosann Lawson, Ryder was a starter, team captain, all-conference, conference kicker of the year and all-region selection. Coached by Josh McGee, Ryder plans to attend Carson Newman University and hopes for a career in business marketing or personal finance.

The son of Barry and Tracie Leonard, William played running back for the Cowboys and is a member of the school’s track team. He was a National Merit Scholar nominee and was active in the Black Student Union. He was involved in a variety of service activities including Backpack Beginnings, Southwest Community Cleanup, and a teaching assistant in Word of Life’s Children’s Church. Coached by Marlon White, William is considering Elon, Appalachian State, and East Carolina to further his education and hopes for a career in computer science.

The son of Damian and Jamie Loncar, Xander was a starter, team captain, and all-conference selection for the Villains. He is a member of the National Honor Society, member of the Tailgate Club, and was involved with St. Leos Church Outreach. Coached by Mark Holcomb, Xander plans to attend NC State University and is considering a career in biological sciences.

The parents of Gavin and Heather Magaha, Hayden was a starter for the Titans. He is a secretary for the National Honor Society, an honor roll student, a member of the Key Club and volunteered with the Clemmons Food Pantry. Coached by Kevin Wallace, Hayden plans to attend the University of Florida. His career plans are uncertain currently.

The grandson of Stephina Walker, Kameron was a starter and player of the week selection. He is a Crosby Scholar, active in the Black Collective Group, and volunteered with Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Coached by Johmar Barringer, Kameron is considering NC A&T and NC Central for college and wants to be a business major.

The son of Daniel and Sara Medlin, Josh was a starter, captain and all-conference selection. He was a junior marshal and is a member of the National Honor Society. He collected more than 100 hours of community service though volunteer activities with the American Red Cross, Millis Road Elementary School, and the National Honor Society. Josh is planning to attend NC State University and is considering a career in engineering.

The son of Michael and Sharon Mullins, MJ was a starter, team captain, all-conference and all-region selection. He is a Crosby Scholar, member of the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. Service activities include time with Reading Across America and Reading Buddies. Coached by Todd Willert, MJ plans to attend Winston-Salem State University and major in Sports Management.

The son of Kara Oates and Anastasia Williams, Kara was a starter, team captain and all-conference selection for the Phoenix. He is a Crosby Scholar and attended the Steve Harvey Leadership Camp. He is active in the weightlifting club and participated in service activities with the Black Chamber of Commerce and ROTC. Coached by Derron Middleton, Kara plans to attend North Carolina Central University and is considering a career in Kinesiology.

The son of Jack and Karen Orrell, Thomas was a starter and team captain for the Vikings. He is secretary of the Student Athlete Leadership Team and PTA student delegate with nearly 200 hours of community service. Coached by Chris Rusiewicz, Thomas plans to attend Randolph Macon and hopes for a career in physical therapy.

The son of Doug and Erin Robertson, Tate was a starter, team captain, all-conference selection, and chosen to participate in the annual East-West All-Star game. He is a member of the National Honor Society, a church youth leader, and was involved in several service activities. Coached by Doug Robertson, Tate plans to attend Appalachian State and pursue a career in Business or Marketing.

The son of Lewis and Ashley Rowe, Jack was a starter, team captain, and player of the week selection for the Bulldogs. Active in the FCA and DREAM Team, he collected more than 200 hours in community service as a church volunteer and with hospice. Coached by Patrick Stokes, Jack will attend Lenoir Rhyne in the fall. His career plans are uncertain at this time.

The son of DJ and Letonya Shaw, DJ was a starter, team captain, and all-conference selection. Volunteering with Anytown and other organizations he served more than 150 hours. Coached by Chuck Doak, DJ has narrowed his college choices to NC Central, Winston-Salem State, and Roanoke. He is considering a career in business, as a computer engineer, or as a cyber security manager.

The son of Jason and Karen Simmons, JT was a linebacker for the Whirlies and was a player of the week selection. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club Unified Whirlies Club, and was involved in several service projects. He received the Great American Rivalry Series Scholar Athlete Award. Coached by Darryl Brown, JT plans to attend GTCC in the fall and pursue a career in HVAC.

The son of Phillip and Marjorie Smith, Wesley was a starter, team captain, team MVP, all-conference and all-region selection. He has regularly been recognized as an A honor roll student, is active in several clubs, including the FFA and FCA. He has also been involved in several service projects including a church bake sale and a fundraiser for Living Free Ministries. Coached by Fritz Hessenthaler, Wesley plans to attend Dakota Wesleyan University in the fall and is considering a career in industrial engineering.

The son of Christopher and Arresha Giddens, Tyron was a starter, team captain, all-conference and all-region selection for the Stallions in their inaugural season. He was a member of the football club, service projects with Grace Church and was chosen as homecoming king. Coached by Tony Aguilar, Tyron will attend Greensboro College in the fall. His career plans are currently undecided.

The son of Matthew Stennette and Michelle Krall, Canaan was a starter, team captain and team MVP for the Falcons. He is the FCA president and is very active in community service projects, earning more than 200 hours on mission trips, FCA activities, and Fill My Cup Ministries. Coached by Earl Bates, Canaan plans to attend Guilford College and is considering a career in religion, a soil scientist, or a civil engineer.

The son of Joshua and Laura Waltonen, Wyatt was a starter and player of the week selection. He is the National Honor Society president, junior marshal, and Morehead Cain semifinalist. He is active in the Red Cross Club and was involved in several service projects, including Toys for Tots. Coached by Tiesuan Brown, Wyatt has narrowed his college choices to UNC Chapel Hill, Columbia, or Duke and wants to be a doctor or an engineer.

The son of Theo and Gwenn Givens, Wyatt was a starter, team MVP and player of the week selection. He is in the National Honor Society, Beta Club, and National Vocational Honor Society. He volunteered with the Reedy Fork Elementary School Reading with Children Program and several community projects with the National Honor Society. Coached by Mark Raynor, Alijah plans to enroll at NC A&T State University and pursue a career as a mechanical, biomedical, or aerospace engineer.

His career choices include business administration, business marketing, or finance.

The son of Converse and Rashawnda Thomas, Amauri was as starter, team captain, and all-conference selection. He is Crosby Scholar and member of the National Honor Scoiety. Active in the Rotary Club and Earth Club, he also volunteered his time as youth football coach. Coached by Antwon Stevenson, Amauri will attend NC A&T State University in the fall. He is considering a career in physical cyber security, bioengineering, or cyber security engineering.

The son of April Wright, Case was a starter and team captain. He was president of the Rowdies and escribed by his coach as a “strong leader in our school, football program, and community.” Coached by Joe Davidyock, Case plans to attend North Carolina Central University and will pursue a career in marketing.
