The son of Len and Carla Bluitt, Benjamin was a starter for the Nighthawks. He was active in the school’s Leadership Club and assisting with youth football programs. Coached by Erik Westberg, Benjamin plans to attend Randolph-Macon college and have a career in business.

The son of Chris and Erin McGinn, Glenn was a team captain and earned all-conference honors for his play on the offensive line and as a linebacker. He also received the team’s Leadership and Coaches awards. His community service includes time as an assistant coach for AU football. Coached by Sam Beasley, Glenn plans to attend Lake Erie College and is interested in a career coaching football.

The son of John and Rebecca Carter, Tristen was a starter and team captain. He earned all-conference honors and was selected to 2nd team all-area during the 2021 spring season. He is active in the Beta Club and helped with campus beautification projects. His community service activities include the High Point University Youth Leadership Academy and Campus Beautification. Coached by Jacob Sheffield, Tristen’s college choices include Guilford College, East Carolina University, and Appalachian State University. He hopes to have a career in business marketing.

The son of Derwin and Sabrina Davenport, Brandon earned all-conference recognition and was a player of the week selection. He is an honor roll student and active in Crosby Scholars. Coached by Todd Willert, Brandon is considering Amherst College, Presbyterian College, or Lenoir Rhyne. His career options include cyber security or marine biology.

The son of Alonzo Dixon and Tanya Neal, Zion was a starter who earned all-conference and all-region honors. He was also selected as player of the week and the Biscuitville Scholar Athlete of the Week. He was active in several school groups, including the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Black Achievers, and Crosby Scholars. His community service activities include church outreach as well as the Paisley IB Food Pantry Clothing Closet, and School Supply Drive. Coached by Antwon Stevenson, Zion plans to attend Winston-Salem State University and pursue a career as a sports agent, business administration, or real estate.

The son of Duane and Brooke Flood, Dexter, was a starter and team captain with football honors including player of the week and all-conference. He participated in the Graham Police Department’s Explorers program and has been active in the school’s Peer Group Connection Program, where he mentored a group of freshmen. As a member of the Pre-Collegiate Academy, he is earning a two-year degree in addition to his high school diploma. Coached by Dominique Burks, Dexter plans to attend Wesleyan College and is looking forward to a career in nursing.

Coached by Fritz Hessenthaler, Nevaeh plans to attend Brown University with aspirations for a career in real estate.

The son of Nghia Ho and Kim Ngan-Thi Doa, Eric was a starter in football who also participated in wrestling and lacrosse. He accumulated over 70 hours of community service with several groups, including St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chorus Camp, and Greensboro Academy. Coached by Brian Terwilliger, Eric plans to attend UNC-Charlotte and is considering several career options, including sports medicine, computer science, and finance.

The son of Arthur Johnson and Nichelle Graham, Denhym was a starter and team captain for the Storm. He was selected as player of the week and was a Mid-State 3A all-conference selection. He has been active in the National Honor Society, as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and was an AB honor roll student throughout high school. He totaled more than 100 hours of community service with activities including Bethel A.M.E. Street Ministry, Bethel Food Services, and the Community Beautification Team. Coached by Jason Bradley, Denhym plans to attend Ferrum College and hopes for a career in professional football, engineering or as a mathematics teacher and coach.

His community service activities include working as a youth sports coach, Pleasant Garden Baptist Church food pantry, Open Door Ministries, and Jamestown Presbyterian Church pine straw delivery. He also attended Governor’s School. He helped with his church’s feed the hungry program where he put in about 60 hours. Coached by Steven Davis, Tyler plans to attend NC A&T State University and would like a career in civil engineering.

The son of Ben and Katie Overby, Thomas was a starter and team captain for the Bulldogs. He was selected as the team MVP while also earning all-conference and all-region honors. His academic honors include the National Honor Society, Math Honors Society, and the Daughters of the American Revolution Award. He was active in several school activities, including the FCA executive board, a grade level supervisor for the DREAM team, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and several others. His community service, where he volunteered for more than 400 hours, include two mission trips, Pack-a-thon to Feed the Hungry, the Volunteer Residential Treatment of Alamance County and others. Coached by Patrick Stokes, Thomas plans to attend Appalachian State University and is considering a career in exercise science/nutrition or physical therapy.

Coached by Darryl Brown, Tyson plans to attend Catawba College and career options include business analyst, kinesiologist, or software engineer.

Accumulating more than 100 hours of community service, he assisted in a variety of projects, such as the Out of the Garden Project, high school soccer camps, and Helping Heroes. The son of Shannon Royster, My’Quan was a starter, team captain and 3-year letterman for the Vikings. He was a player of the week and all region selection. Selected as a junior marshal, he is expected to be an honor graduate for the class of 2022. He has been active in the F.I.S.T. club, Black Achievers and volunteered to help with a community meal service. The son of Anthony Rush and LaTonia McMaster, Quay was an athlete of the week, all-conference and all-region selection. Academic honors include AB honor roll and the National Society of High School Scholars. He was active in AAMPED and volunteered as a trainer assistant with over 100 hours of community service. Coached by Adrian Snow, Quay is considering a career in business or sports management and has narrowed his college choices to Furman, Gardner Webb or Western Carolina.

The son of Michael and Kendra Sherrill, Grady was a starter, team captain and all-conference selection. Academic honors include the National Honor Society, Page High Citizenship Award, and the Great American Rivalry Marine Scholar. He is active in student council, was vice-president of the senior class, and participated in other school sports. His 55 hours of community service includes ARC of Greensboro, Out of the Garden Project, and Holy Trinity Acolyte. He has also earned his Eagle Scout award. Coached by Doug Robertson, Grady is undecided on a career and plans to attend UNC-Chapel Hill.

The son of Terence and Cheryl Stevens, Terence was a player of the week selection and starter for the Falcons. He was selected for the National Honor Society and is active in the Future Farmers of America. With over 100 hours of community service, he volunteered at the Salvation Army, Freedom School, and Safety Town. He was also chairperson for the backpack beginnings fundraising event. Coached by Earl Bates, Terence is undecided on a career. College choices include NC A&T State University, NC State, or NC Wesleyan.

The son of John and Kelly Thacker, John was a starter for the Raiders. He was selected for membership in the National Honor Society and has been on AB Honor Roll. He was active in the Spirit Club and was a JROTC assistant. Through work with the Boy Scouts, SECU House, and Samaritan Ministries, he contributed 65 hours of service. He will receive his Eagle Scout award in June. Coached by Joshua McGee, John is considering a career as a lawyer, physical therapist or physician. Currently undecided, but college choices include UNC-Charlotte, Davidson, and UNC Chapel Hill.
