The son of Thomas Gafford and Michele Harris, Micah was a Team Captain, Metro 4A All-Conference and played on teams that reached the State 4AA Championship in both 2015 & 2016. Along with being a member of the National Honor Society and an AP Scholar with Honors, Micah was a member of the International Club and Playmakers Club. He volunteered at his church cleaning the surrounding neighborhood and as a church youth teacher. He was coached by Kevin Gillespie.

The son of Jimmy and Ann Wells, Michael was a Team Captain, Metro 4A Academic All-Conference and received the Tony Perrou Memorial Patriot Award. Along with being a member of the National Honor Society, Southern Alamance A-B Honor Roll, Dream Team and receiving academic scholarships to NC Wesleyan and Hampden-Sydney, Michael volunteered his time with the backpack program at his school and tutored children also. He was coached by Andrew Carrouth.

The son of David and Nicole Berry, Mitchell was a Team Captain, making the All-Conference and All-County team as West Forsyth advanced to the third round of the State Playoffs. Along with making the Honor Roll all 4 years of his high school career and playing baseball for West Forsyth, Mitchell helped train youngsters for athletic participation and cleaned up a youth football field. He was coached by Adrian Snow.

The son of Robert and Marlo Countiss, Jake was a member of two 3A state runner-up teams and earned All-Conference and Second Team Burlington Times News All-Region. A member of the National Honor Society who served as Senior Class President and was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Key Club, Jake also ran track. He was coached by John Kirby. His scholarship was given in memory of Coach Fred Brady by Angie Bartis.

Along with being a representative in the Student Government, a member of the Dream Team and playing baseball for Cummings, Torey volunteered for Ebenezer UCC in the Usher Ministry and in feeding the needy. He was coached by Juron Holleman.

The son of Betty and Samuel M. Cook III, Sirod was a Team Captain, MVP, All-Northwest Region and Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Along with being a member of the National Honor Society, Crosby Scholar and playing basketball for two years at East Forsyth, Sirod volunteered in feeding the homeless on holidays, helped pass out food boxes to the needy and worked a football camp for youth to improve their skills. He was coached by Todd Willert.

Along with being a member of the National Honor Society, a Junior Marshal, Homecoming King and four-year honor student, Amari served as Vice President for the Student Government Association. Along with football, Amari played basketball and was a member of the track & field team for Carver. He volunteered at Habitat for Humanity and was a teacher’s assistant at a local school. He was coached by Antwon Stevenson.

Smith earning All-Conference honors in the 4 X 100 relay. Tyrell volunteered his time at the Shalom Community Church summer camp. He was coached by Brandon Wiggins.

The son of Suzanne Fray, Canyon was a Team Captain and three-year starter making the Metro 4-A All-Conference Team. Along with being a member of the National Honor Society, being Grimsley’s nominee for NC State University Parks Scholarship and winning the Excellence in Math Award, Canyon served as President for Athletes in Action and was a Student Ambassador. Canyon volunteered in the community by helping coordinate the food pantry at Grimsley, mentoring 5th graders at Hunter Elementary and raising awareness about poverty in the area. He was coached by Darryl Brown.

Along with being Class Valedictorian, he served as President of the National Science Honor Society, was a member of the National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society and was a Junior Marshal. Garner is a member of the Dream Team, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and earned 1st place in the Alamance-Burlington School System’s Science Fair. He volunteers his time as a Sunday school teacher and is a mission trip leader. He was coached by John Kirby.

Along with being a member of the National Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars and receiving the Chancellor’s Scholarship to Fayetteville State, Tobias participated in the Big Brother Program and served as the editor of the school yearbook at Northeast. He volunteered at the Urban Ministry and World Victory International Christian Center. He was coached by Jason Lippard.

Along with being awarded the Presidential Scholarship to Wingate University and being a member of the basketball and track teams at Reagan, Luke participated in the Crosby Scholars, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the C.A.R.E. Club. He volunteered through Crosby Scholars where he assisted with the Special Olympics and Good Samaritan Ministries. He was coached by Josh McGee.

Along with being a member of the National Honor Society, Ragsdale’s endorsed candidate for the Parks Scholarship at N.C. State and earning the Service-Learning Diploma, Alex was a Team Captain for wrestling and a member of the Concert Band. Alex volunteered his time in the S.M.A.R.T program tutoring students and works with Project Uplift UNC. He was coached by Tommy Norwood.

Austin was a member of the FCA, the Teen Political Action Club, DECA, Latin Club and Young life. He volunteered his time feeding the homeless and raising money for cancer. De’Shaun volunteered his time at West End Ministries tending the community garden and working with youth in the Miracle League where he helped disabled children play baseball.
