The son of Mark and Vonshell Woodson, Faraji was a football team captain and selected as special teams MVP. In addition to being on track to graduate as the class salutatorian, Faraji was a junior marshal, and has earned several awards including the Dudley Academic Letter of Excellence, the Dudley Teacher Award, the Most Innovative Senior Project, and was a finalist in the NC A&T Engineering Competition. He is active in several clubs, including student government, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 4H Club, the Oasis Gardening Club, and vice-president of the S.M.A.R.T. Club. His community service includes volunteering as a counselor at EPIC Jumpstart, the Parks and Recreation Teen Engagement Committee, Fun Fourth Festival, and Marks Family Care where he spent time and did activities with residents. Coached by Steven Davis, Faraji plans to attend Howard or NC A&T State and hopes to become a neurosurgeon, general physician, or general surgeon.
