The son of Garrett and Charlene Apple, Brent was a football all-conference selection, all-area honorable mention, and runner-up for offensive player of the year. Along with being on the A-B honor roll, Brent has been offered presidential scholarships from several schools, including Brevard, Catawba, and Campbell. He was selected all-conference in track and is an active member of the FFA, Men of Destiny, and Psychology Clubs. Brent’s community service includes mentoring students at Alamance and Nathaniel Greene Elementary Schools, coaching a community basketball team for 4th and 5th grade boys and girls, as well as umpiring in the Miracle League of High Point. Coached by Kennedy Tinsley, Brent plans to attend Western Carolina, Appalachian State, or Greensboro College to major in wildlife biology, marine biology, or zoology.

In addition to being on the honor roll, Brandon was a Reflections Honor Project honoree in 2014. His community service includes volunteer work at the YMCA and Salem Towne. Coached by Todd Willert, Brandon plans to attend Fairmont State and hopes to have a career in meteorology, biology, or physics.

In addition to being a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and ping pong clubs, Mason also participated in basketball, baseball, and swimming while in high school. His community service includes volunteering with the High Point Youth Leadership Academy and the Jamestown United Methodist Church mission trip. The son of Corey Peterkin and Latasha Coleman, Isaiah was a two-year football team captain, three-time all-conference selection, two-time all-region and team MVP. In addition to being selected a member of the National English Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, Isaiah was also active in Young Life, was vice-president of the D.R.E.A.M. team, and tutored 8th grade students in math. Coached by Jim McGill, Isaiah plans to attend NC State, NC Central, or UNC Charlotte to study electrical or civil engineering.

In addition to being on the honor roll for four years, Connor played baseball, was active in the Special Olympics Club, the Senior Mentor Club, and was president of the Bishop McGuinness Pit Crew. He volunteered with the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church nursery the Miracle League and Special Olympics. Coached by Drew Hackett, Connor plans to attend East Carolina, UNC-Charlotte, or Appalachian State to major in communications or construction management.

The son of Reyes Cruz-Revera and Natividad Cisneros-Hernandez, Wilbert was a team captain and recipient of the coaches’ award. In addition to being on the “A” honor roll, Wilbert is a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society and has been offered several scholarships, including the presidential scholarship from High Point University and Deans Scholarship from Greensboro College. He has been active in the JROTC where he was selected as battalion commander, captain of the wrestling team, and has volunteered through his church working at a homeless shelter. Coached by Pat Crowley, Wilbert plans to attend UNC Charlotte, Appalachian State, or Western Carolina and will major in business administration, accounting, or communications.

In addition to being a member of the Beta Club, Myles was selected as leader for the Student of the Month Breakfast and is active in the Embracing Leadership Through Diversity in Athletics (ELDA) Club. His community service includes highway cleanup with the Beta Club, reading to youth, assisting with football summer camp, and church activities. Coached by Erik Westberg, Myles plans to attend UNC-Charlotte or UNC-Chapel Hill and hopes to be a sports physician or physical therapist.

In addition to being on the A honor roll, Amin was a three-time academic all-conference and an honor student. He is a member of the track team and is active in the multicultural club. His community service includes field set up for a women’s football league and projects through Habitat for Humanity. Coached by Earl Bates, Amin plans to attend Wake Forest, Campbell, or Saint Andrews and hopes to have a career in marketing, business, or as a personal trainer/coach.

The son of Bobby Jr. and Britt Gordon, Tripp was a three-time Academic All-Conference honoree in addition to earning All-Conference, All-Metro 4-A, and All-Region. The Team Captain was a member of the National Honor Society, served the Student-Athlete Advisory Council as a NCSHAA Region 5 Representative, and received the Tony Perrou Coaches Award. Also a member of the baseball team, he was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and with various leadership conferences and forums. Tripp was coached by Daniel Barrow. His community service includes volunteer work at Greensboro Urban Ministry, Guilford County 4H, his church youth group, Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, the Wyndham Championship, and Upward Bound Basketball. He has volunteered at a local recreation center and has assisted in serving meals at his church. He has been active in the Boy Scouts for over nine years where he has been quartermaster, chaplain’s aide, troop leader, patrol leader and recognized as an Eagle Scout. His community service activities include assisting at the Greensboro Urban Ministry, park clean-ups, and various Eagle Scout projects. In addition to being on the A-B honor roll for all of his high school career, Ti’quez has earned recognition as an NCHSAA scholar athlete for seven consecutive semesters and has been recognized as the TW Andrews scholar-athlete in both football and track. He is active in the AVID Academic Club and Science Club while also participating in track where he is a multi-year all-conference selection. His community service includes volunteering as a peer tutor, working concessions with the booster club, an AVID peer tutor, and weight room renovation as part of the Team8 Tour. The son of Mark and Vonshell Woodson, Faraji was a football team captain and selected as special teams MVP. In addition to being on track to graduate as the class salutatorian, Faraji was a junior marshal, and has earned several awards including the Dudley Academic Letter of Excellence, the Dudley Teacher Award, the Most Innovative Senior Project, and was a finalist in the NC A&T Engineering Competition. He is active in several clubs, including student government, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 4H Club, the Oasis Gardening Club, and vice-president of the S.M.A.R.T. Club. His community service includes volunteering as a counselor at EPIC Jumpstart, the Parks and Recreation Teen Engagement Committee, Fun Fourth Festival, and Marks Family Care where he spent time and did activities with residents. He is active in the Chess Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Spanish Club. His community service activities include the Out of the Garden Project, Caroline’s Promise, through his church youth group assisted in repairing homes in South Carolina and helped tutor other students in Spanish. He is also a member of the wrestling team, vice-president of the Student Government Association and is active in the FCCLA, YMCA Black Achievers, and the Chic-Fil-A Leadership Academy. His community service activities include participation in Youth Grant Makers in Action, community outreach activities through Mercy Seat Holy Church Youth, and assisted in setting up a food bank at Pfafftown Christian Church. Coached by Josh McGee, Coleman plans to attend UNC-Charlotte, NC A&T State, or NC State and pursue a career in computer science or software engineering.

The son of Thomas Martin and Daphne Green, Thomas was a captain of the football team and selected as a Blue-Grey All-American. In addition to being inducted into the National Honor Society, Thomas was a member of the Beta Club, a junior marshal, and a student ambassador. He was a marksman on the rifle team and participated in wrestling and track. Through his involvement with ROTC he assisted with a toy drive for children of veterans. Through the Beta Club he worked as a fair volunteer and assisted with a Trunk or Treat project. Coached by Greg Scales, Thomas plans to attend NC A&T State, NC Central, or Johnson & Wales and hopes to have a career in engineering, business, or technology.

The son of Michael and Sonja Mobley, Jevon was a team captain, all-conference, and was selected to receive the team’s Offensive Lineman of the Year award. In addition to being on the A-B honor roll throughout high school, he has perfect attendance and is a member of the Century Club (recognized as one of the top 100 students in the school). He has been a photographer for athletics with the school yearbook and was active in a trash clean-up project in the community. Coached by Jason Bradley, Jevon plans to attend NC A&T State and pursue a career in civil engineering or accounting.

In addition to being inducted into the National Honor Society, Kolin was a junior marshal, academic all-conference, a district nominee for Governor’s School, and is ranked 3rd in his class. He is active in a number of clubs, including National Honor Society, FFA, Hunter Safety Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Envirothon team and others. His community service activities include assisting with Toys for Tots, Operation Christmas Child, caroling, and singing at community events with a group called Acafellas. Coached by Andrew Carrouth, Kolin plans to attend UNC-Charlotte or NC State and will pursue a career in civil engineering.

His community service includes founding and directing the Children’s Book Legacy to help provide books to children, which has received widespread recognition, and the Young Scholars Steam Workshop. In addition to being vice-president of the National Honor Society, Copeland is vice-president of the Beta Club, received the Barnabas Award for encouraging others and being a leader, and was the student council secretary of state in 2016. He is active in the Interact Club and Breakfast Buddies where he helps mentor elementary students. His community service includes Project Serve working with homeless in Atlanta, providing manual labor for Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Orlando, working with disabled high school students through Young Life and the Miracle League of High Point. Dominick is always willing to help and is often seen assisting other students. Brooks was selected as a junior marshal and currently ranks in the top 50 in his class. He is active in other areas of school life, which include FBLA, Spanish Club, Earth Club, and Core Club. Brooks was very active in the Boy Scouts and his community service activities include waiting tables for a fundraiser with the Newcomers Club and volunteering at Vacation Bible School. The son of Terry and Pamela White, Zachary was a team captain, earned all-conference honors, all-area honorable mention, and defensive MVP. In addition to being on the honor roll every semester, Zachary was nominated for membership in the National Honor Society. He is very active in other areas of school life, including the Men of Excellence, Men of Invictus, the Volunteer Club, and H.O.S.A. He attended the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) Anytown where the focus was on being a leader in the community and has recently been selected to serve as a member on the Student Human Relations Commission at The Academy at Smith. He has volunteered as a tutor during summer programs at Shalom Baptist Church and participated in canned food drives.
